Company History
Green Wave International's Managing Director Rebecca Sturgeon is an experienced senior manager with over eighteen years event and project management experience within the international multi-sport event environment.
Rebecca was Director of Transport for the G20 Leaders' Summit in Brisbane 2014 where she was responsible for the vehicles and sequencing of motorcade movements for 34 World Leaders. Rebecca was also responsible for transport for attending delegates, international and domestic media and workforce. To deliver this, Rebecca was responsible for car-with-driver services, bus operations, parking, vehicle permitting, workforce park and rides, airport arrivals and departures including baggage transfers, traffic management plans and implementation of all road closure support for motorcade routes, city wide strategic diversions, traffic management plans and implementation for all venues and sole use hotels, stakeholder engagement and the traffic and transport input into strategic communications for the summit.
For the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Rebecca was responsible for spectator transport operational integration for the outer London venues.
From 2003 to 2006 Rebecca headed up the successful planning and operational delivery of the Traffic and Transport program for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. In this role, she was responsible for bus operations, VIP car-with-driver services, venue transport operations, parking and VAPPS, airport venue operations, arrivals and departures, opening and closing ceremonies.
At the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Rebecca was responsible for Games Wide Parking at every competition and non-competition venue, and Venue Operations for the Road Cycling events held at Moore Park.
